How can design blend classical heritage with modern storytelling? Théâtre National de la Scène II uses engraved illustrations and a symbolic logo to create a refined, emotional identity bridging tradition and innovation.

The graphic design for Théâtre National de la Scène II blends modern minimalism with classical inspiration. Used across communication materials, mugs, t-shirts, posters, bags, and tickets, the design features engraved-style illustrations in rich blue-green tones. The aim is to revisit great theatrical classics through a contemporary and stripped-down lens. Central to the identity is the heart-shaped “S2” logo, symbolizing Scène 2, subtly integrated into each illustration. This fusion suggests the theater’s full embrace of the play, as if reinterpreting it from within. The visual result is refined yet emotionally resonant, reflecting both heritage and bold modern storytelling.
